Opening Plenary
The Opening Plenary will consist of opening remarks from representatives of the Kenya Ministry of Energy, the European Union, Norway, the Netherlands, the World Bank, the World Health Organization, and the Clean Cooking Alliance. A high-level panel discussion that follows will explore the role global advocacy, increased investment, and national policies can play in achieving universal access to clean cooking by 2030.
A number of noteworthy announcements are expected to be made during the plenary, including the release of the Kenya Clean Cooking Sector Study, the formation of a coalition of African political leaders, new funding and finance facilities, and the kick-off of a global advocacy campaign.
