Asenath Onyango

Ms. Onyango Joined Practical Action in 2016 dealing in the sale of d.light solar products only but after interventions of the WEEK project. During her time at Practical Action, she has embraced various skills of business planning a diversified product line by selling other solar brands like Sun King, Solar Panda, B Box, Bio lite to meet customer preferences; employed product promotion strategies by moving to different/varied markets, enhancing product display, and strengthening customer relations; employed six sales agents, which boosted sales to an average monthly sale of 32 solar products and 18 stoves, and was selected for the Microgrid entrepreneurship training organized by the African Women Energy Entrepreneurs Framework (AWEEF) at Micro Grid Academy, Nairobi in April 2018, and attained a Certificate for the course.
