Biography

Christina Espinosa joined the World Central Kitchen (WCK) team in May 2019 as the Clean Cookstove Director, although her work with WCK initially began in Guatemala after the volcano eruption in 2018. Christina is recognized in the LPG sector as a global leader and brings nine years of experience to the team, specializing in consumer adoption, education, and financing of cookstoves. Christina applies what she calls an “ecosystems approach” to cookstoves, addressing barriers in order to make stoves more accessible and available to everyone. She completed her honors thesis at the University of the Pacific on the Behavioral Economics of Water Projects and is the Co-Founder of GenteGas S.A.

She has also held positions with the Oakland Athletics Baseball Company and GoGreen Biofuels and has served as a consultant for the government of Mexico and the U.S. Forest Service. In her free time, Christina is a food lover, at-home cook, and makes a mad Kombucha.
