Jan Cloin

Jan Cloin is a renewable energy expert and the Deputy Team Leader for GET.invest, a European investment promotion programme. He holds a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy and International Development from the University of Eindhoven (NL) with more than 20 years of experience in the renewable energy sector in Africa, the Pacific Region, and Europe. Jan’s fields of work include energy policy, RE applications, and investment promotion of private sector in de-central renewable energy. Prior to this position, Jan worked as an engineer at Fundo de Energia (FUNAE) in Mozambique, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the South Pacific Applied Geoscience Commission (SOPAC/SPC), the Energy Research Foundation (ECN, NL), and at UNDP NY.

Jan currently coordinates closer alignment of the pipeline development services that GET.invest offers to businesses and developers toward the needs of the clean cooking sector, enabling more bankable propositions to be financed, fostering clean cooking sector growth.
