Biography
Laura Allan is the Venture Gender Support Consultant with EWB Ventures, a seed-stage investor focusing on innovation and poverty alleviation in Sub Saharan Africa, in Accra, Ghana. Laura works to support the integration of gender into their ventures as well as operationalize their Gender Lens Investing Strategy. Previously, she worked with PEG Africa, a solar energy social enterprise conducting a Gender Mainstreaming Process to improve social impact and business returns in Ghana. Laura holds both a Post-Graduate Diploma and Bachelor’s degree in International Development Studies. Laura has worked in Ghana for several years supporting social enterprises and the NGO sector. She is passionate about social innovation, gender equality, and poverty alleviation.
