Biography
Olivia Coldrey is the Lead Finance Specialist at Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), where she supports the Special Representative of the Secretary-General, CEO, and colleagues on strategy and long-range interventions to unlock finance for SDG7.
Prior to joining SEforALL, Olivia worked in developed and emerging economies to develop strategy and strengthen institutional capacity for investment in clean energy projects, leveraging her experience of financing renewable energy technologies through the innovation cycle from R&D through commercial deployment and of advising governments, DFIs, and investors on policy and regulation. Previous roles include Director, Sustainable Finance at REEEP, Investment Director of the Australian Solar Institute, and legal and strategy roles with Australia’s export credit agency. As a finance lawyer, Olivia worked with Baker & McKenzie in Sydney and Hong Kong and Latham & Watkins in New York.
A Fulbright Scholar and U.S. Department of State Climate Change Fellow, Olivia holds law degrees from the University of New South Wales and the London School of Economics and Political Science, and an economics degree from the Australian National University.
