Wanjiku Manyara

Wanjiku Manyara is the General Manager of the Petroleum Institute of East Africa, which is the professional oil and gas industry association for the East Africa Region. Wanjiku is an Environmental Health Scientist by profession. She is a member of the Governing Council of the Partnership for Cleaner Vehicles and Fuels under UN Environment; the Energy Sector Board under the Kenya Private Sector Alliance; the Fossil Fuel Working Group under the East Africa Sectorial Council of Ministers; the National Fossil Fuels Advisory Committee under Kenya’s Ministry of Energy  and Petroleum; the Environmental Experts Advisory Committee under the National Environment Management Authority; the Oil and Gas Strategic Environmental and Social Assessment Technical Advisory Committee; the National LPG legal and regulatory reforms Technical Committee; the World LPG Global Cylinder and Technology Network under the World LPG Association; and the Independent Scientific Advisory Board for the NIHR global health research group on clean energy access for the prevention of non-communicable disease in Africa.
