Wim Jonker Klunne is the Head of Knowledge and Policy of EEP Africa, a regional fund that aims to increase energy access in 15 countries in southern and east Africa. The fund is hosted by the Nordic Development Fund (NDF) and provides seed funding to early stage renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.
Wim is a renowned expert with 25+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector in Africa. He has worked on a wide range of energy implementation, research and capacity building projects in Africa on behalf of the African Development Bank, the World Bank group, UNDP, GEF, EU, national governments, private sector, research institutions and bilaterals.
His extensive experience in renewable energy projects, from a technical, financial and socio-economic perspective, provides him with a solid background to facilitate the larger uptake of renewable energy technologies.
